Use <Input type=file /> to get the 
file control. This will transmit the contents of the saved file with the HTTP 
request.
To check if the uploaded file is a pdf, you 
may want to check for the file extension in javascript. There is nothing more 
you can do on the client end (taking into account the limitations of 
javascript)
