If it returns anything other than -1 then you can confirm that it has the word "Array". Then use Substring() method along with the position found using IndexOf method to retrieve needed chars from original string and append it with what ever you want. 2. Use myString.StartsWtih() method to find if "Fld" exists and use the above technique to get the job done. Please let me know if i have misunderstood your query.
