see in the html file onchange event whether
your code is there...
btw.. did you enabled the postback for the
dropdown.. in that case your client side script wont fire...
you need to take the round way if you want
both the functions to be called.. (client side javascript as well as serverside
event handler)
first step is disable the autopostback.. and
keep the code as you have given in below.. (check for case sensitiveness.. since
javascript is case sensitive)
second step is .. in the javascript function
call.. when you are done with your work...
call __doPostBack("<controlname>",
null)
thus the postback will occur and it will
call your serverside code as well ...

the function is not calling what is the problem with
