this code in your delete method after you have deleted the record from the 
database
 
RegisterClientScriptBlock("MyAlert", "<Script 
Language='Javascript'>alert(""Record Deleted 
Successfully"");</Script>")
 
If you 
want to do something more than this after deletion of record, using javascript, 
then do it like this : 
 
In 
your aspx page write the javascript function like this : 
 
Function MyJavaciptMethod()
{
alert(""Record Deleted Successfully"");
.
.
.Other 
code goes here
.
 
}
 
And in 
the code behind file write it like this 

RegisterClientScriptBlock("MyAlert", "<Script 
Language='Javascript'>MyJavaciptMethod();</Script>")
