----------------------------------------------------------- From: Soumitra2105 Message 7 in Discussion HI , There is also one major difference with regards to platform independence. C# code is 99% complaint while VB is about 85% .Every piece of code that you write in .Net does not make it platform independent. Microsoft itself promotes C#. It is also some got some standards, the name I don't remember right now. 2. C# provides automatic documentation of code, which is not there in VB.NET right now. May be it will come up in future releases for VB.NET also. 3. I have heard ( not sure ), the C# gives better access to memory space than VB.NET. Like in case when you want to use pointers and threading etc. But when you are not using very hi-fi fundas of the language then it will not make any difference. In case of language selection, my personal vote goes to C# as it is Microsoft preffered language. So as far as I believe, if any enhancement if Microsoft does then it will be fist of all be there in C#.
