Hi,
For our Computer Science Engg. final year project, we are building a
standalone DivX/MPEg player with output to TV.We were tryin to do
it using DirectShow programming in .NET but we will have to have Win
XP installed. Since the final system should resemble a normal DVD
player, we cannot have the time delay of XP booting up especially
displaying the boot up process. We are trying to do it in DOS now. We
used QuickViewPro(DOS video player) and have been trying to figure out
how it works especially how it uses the codecs. Could you help us? I
found an Mpeg decoder built by Berkeley University but I have no idea
how to go about the AVI file format and use the codecs. Could you
please advise us on this or give us some reference material. Do we
have other options available ???

Thanking you Colin Crasto,
Deepak Lewis.
