Hi,     You can change the LCID(locale identifier) , if ur dateformat matches with any 
of the
 locales. The default is 1033 (US locale) which is mm/dd/yy.  In the connection string 
add the attribute "Provider=Microsoft.SQLSERVER.....;.......Locale Identifier=3011"   
You can use set dateformat to insert date in a specific format, but u will be able to 
retrieve it in efault format only.   Regards Anjana
