I have a webform where in i need to validate controls in it. The form has 2 input box,1 dropdownlist ,1 check box and submit buttons. I am using validation controls here.One of the condition for validation is if i check the checkbox i need to validate a text filed.If the check box is not selected the validation should not fire. Now irrespective of check box status validation controls are firing. i have used required field validators. This can be handled on server side on postback.But can i do it on client side. All the controls used are server side controls (runat= server). I hope my question is clear.
