thanx for your reply FYI i tested in NS only thing
is that the if condition in ur code if(window.screenY>-4) has to be
used...more over one more problem with the NS..the function will be
called each and every time if v refresh the page since i will be calling the
function onUnLoad()....this is a glitch
w.r.t IE there is one more
thing i wanted to accomplish is..when the window is minimized on the status
bar..if i close the window then the function won't be called is there any
solution for this..moreover i want to accomplish all these things with different
OS like mac OS and also with the most of the widely used
browsers...

FYI, I don't
have Netscape installed in my computer :( So I am not in a
position to test the code in NS.
BTW netscape
also supports unLoad event, even if it doesn't work as it is, we
could customize it to NS.
