----------------------------------------------------------- From: hemaltrivedi Message 2 in Discussion i would suggest that do not use WMI to detect software. rather try to scan the har disk for installed exe files and then obtain the information regarding them like version, size, path serila no, etc. maybe you wont have the permissions to perform this scan on a remote machine. to do this, you will have to program a client module that performs this scan on the client machine and return the records to the server module. hope this helps. best of luck.
