You might want to HTMLEncode the HTML string
value posted to the server using Server.HtmlEncode and decoding the same using
Server.HtmlDecode rather than turning off request validation for the
page.

                Hi All

                I have web page where in i allow the user to create email
                templates. The users can have canned "text messages" and canned
                "HTML messages".

                Now when the user put in HTML Tags in the text box and hits
                enter we get this Error.
                "A Potentially dangerous Request.Form Value".

                To avoid this as per this link
http://www.asp.net/faq/RequestValidation.aspx ,
                I  have 2 options
                a) <configuration>
  <system.web>

    <pages validateRequest="false" />

  </system.web>
</configuration>
                ( <b>Which i dont want to do</b>)

                b) <%@ Page validateRequest="false"  %>

                I go in for option b, Setting the Page validate Request to
                false.

                Even after i set this option i still do get the same error
                message. Why is it so ? Any Clues?

                TIA

                Srivats
