Hi, This is one quite interesting issue I had phased two months back. Requirement
was to create a chart from an ASP.Net application. Chart was created successfully ,
using the Excel object model. But the Web application was not able to kill the Excel
instances running on the machine where Web application was hosted. Tried many
options, at last I have created a Windows service which creates a Excel chart on user
requests from ASP.Net pages. In the windows service what I have done was killing the
process using .NET process class. It is working fine. But I am not sure this is the
right solution for this. Process class cannot be used directly from an ASP.NET page.
Still I do not know the reason why it is not allowed. If anyone has the answer for
this please give !!! This was one interview question also !!!!!! Thanks Suhas
