Hi Kalyan,   Since you are working in a web project, you need to keep the client as 
light as possible.  If you are going to load the browser with one lakh records, then 
determine what the load would be on the client machine.  The machine needs to have the 
capacity to handle such a huge load.     You can cache the dataset by using the xml 
format of dataset and even bind it to controls dynamically, but then you would have to 
evaluvate the pros and cons before you take such a decision.  If you are sure that 
your client machines are powerful, you can share the load on the browser.  You may 
look at using XMLHTTP Post and Data Islands to work on the browser which demands, xml 
parser to be installed on the clients.   The best way would be to reduce the data 
being retrieved to the database itself.  That would reduce your burden on the server
