----------------------------------------------------------- From: NadeemYousaf1 Message 1 in Discussion Dear All, I am facing a problem while connecting SQL Server 2000 from ASP .NET. I have Visual Studio 2003 on my system and SQL Server 2000 on other system in a LAN envirnment. I am using Typed DataSet approach. I just pick the DB table from the UI and Visual studio generates the SQL Adapter and Connection String for me (Thanx ASP .NET). But when i execute the programm it always shows the following error. SqlException: Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.] System.Data.SqlClient.ConnectionPool.GetConnection(Boolean& isInTransaction) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnectionPoolManager.GetPooledConnection(SqlConnectionString options, Boolean& isInTransaction) System.Data.SqlClient.SqlConnection.Open() System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.QuietOpen(IDbConnection connection, ConnectionState& originalState) System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.FillFromCommand(Object data, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, String srcTable, IDbCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet dataSet, Int32 startRecord, Int32 maxRecords, String srcTable, IDbCommand command, CommandBehavior behavior) System.Data.Common.DbDataAdapter.Fill(DataSet dataSet, String srcTable) testing.TestForm.Button1_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e) in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\testing\TestForm.aspx.vb:98 System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) System.Web.UI.WebControls.Button.System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument) System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument) System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(NameValueCollection postData) System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain() It works fine if i have Visual studio and SQL Server 2000 on same machine but if both are on different system , it always shows above error. Where is the problem? Your help is highly required and esteemed in this regard.
