Hi Anoop,  
The behavior of that SQL statement does not adhere to ANSI SQL behavior, is not 
documented by Microsoft to be SQL Server's behavior, and is already known to cause 
unpredictable results - see PRB: Execution Plan and Results of Aggregate Concatenation 
Queries (http://support.microsoft.com/?id=287515). Adding to this, this feature is 
supported on SQL Server 2000 systems which are SP2 and above only. This is not 
supported on lower service packs. However, I don't really have a problem with someone 
using that 'trick' on an *ad-hoc basis* (it is faster than a cursor, and it is quicker 
to write than the loop) if one keeps in mind that its results may *not always be 
predictable*.
