Self-describing (metadata)This contains the details about the assembly including its 
versioning,types support,dependencies etc Deployment ease (XCopy)Since there is no 
need to register the components,as in previous unmanaged components,you can make an 
application up and running just by copying it to the target machine(Need framework in 
target machine)
Versioning Each version of the share assemblies are signed with strong names,that 
there wont be any conflict for different version to be in a same place.
Side by side executionThe side-by-side support built into the .NET Framework allows 
multiple versions of the Framework to be installed on a single system. With the 
release of version 1.1 of the .NET Framework, application and component developers 
need to consider how their code operates on systems that have multiple versions of the 
Framework installed.
