----------------------------------------------------------- From: Sampath_Kumar Message 5 in Discussion Hi , The concept is simple but there is an abstraction too. We generally have to write a web page .. let's say customerService.asp that expects parameters .. This page takes the keyword and other information that is needed. Remember that they have huge number of such services. Now this page decides where to get the data from. Typically this page redirects to other pages based on the type of the service ( decided on the keyword sent ) . That's about the application. All you will know is that your page will be called with parameters and you will have to respond to it. HTTP is the simplest way because their applications would be typically in perl ( atleast the one in which i worked ) . So in the event of an SMS their programs would call the webpage to service the request. Till the end we have never sent/received and SMS .
