And Yes, this is true only in the case of Clustered Index/Primary key columns as the rows are NOT NULL Columns in specific for the same. Hence from a heap record using the sysindexes table is not advisable. Even a table heap will form STATISTICS as _WA_... type of records in the Index table. We should not consider the same while evaluating #rows.
