----------------------------------------------------------- From: PavanajaMVP Message 5 in Discussion Dear Ragu, You did not understand Samarth's question properly. He wants to enter Unicode text and not any font glyph based data. Both Nudi and Baraha enter truetype font glyph based data. Of course they do have Unicode based keyboard drivers for Win XP, which is redundant as XP already has Kannada IME (other name for keybaord driver) built-in. Both Nudi and Baraha can not enter Kannada Unicode data in Win 98. VB 6 does not support Unicode fully. The Forms 2.0 controls that shipped with Office 97 has controls like label, textbox, etc. which can take Unicode data. When I tried to display Kannada Unicode data on these controls they did display it properly (on Win XP), but the keyboard input (on Win XP) of Kannada Unicode data is not taken by the textbox. That is what Samarth is trying for. I tried to enter Kannada Unicode text using both Nudi and Baraha's keyboard drivers, but failed. I also tried the IME released by IBM (http://www.alphaworks.ibm.com/tech/indicime). Even that did not help. As of now I don't find any solution for entering Kannada Unicode text into VB6 applications.
