It's very easy using to define your own extensions for custom handlers in .NET.  
ARMX is most likely a custom .NET handler for some content management system that they 
have developed. 

Some built-ins are:  
ASPX is ASP.NET 
ASMX is ASP.NET Web services 
SRF (which you see in MSN passport login scripts) is a stencil request file - 
essentially a more manageable way of writing ISAPI dlls in C++.
