I am building a control that has speech as one of its features. I am using the latest version of Windows XP tablet PC OS with latest Service Pack. This latest version has features that changes the mouse pointer to a small window that tells you the status of your dictation and voice commands. I need to have all these features as a part of my control. I have looked at the Speech SDK 5.1. I provides a whole lot of stuff, but i was wondering if it is just directly possible to invoke the OS dictation, voice command , what can i say etc. from within our own application. To make myself more clear, can i have a button in my application on click of which i can call an api of the tablet PC OS that would start the dictation mode of the OS itself (like it does when i click on dictation on the pen input panel).
