----------------------------------------------------------- From: wowPravin Message 4 in Discussion Hi, Thank you for congratulating me. Hamood, to start off with visiting the 'certification' link in the group....( in case if u havent done that). For the MCAD llink u can visit - http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mcad/default.asp Now here are few points I want to make - 1) For book I have found Amit Kalanis excellent. I really mean they are very good. you dont need to refer anything else as far as books are concerned. The MS Press books are OK, they give a good overview but lack the depth. But Amit Kalani books is not available in India..except the 70-320 book. 2) Try doing sample applications. Because exams assume you have pracitical exp with Visual Studio .NET and getting hands-on exp helps with the concepts. 3) Refer to MSDN as much as possible. 4) Take the sample exams given on the Microsoft learning site... 5) learn more of the newer things to the tools - like XML support in SQL server, COM+ apps, web services...these are HOT topics and many questions are asked from these 6) Give sp emphasis on ADO.NET - this comes in all exams (except SQL server) 7) The first exam will take time to cover- because u have to cover ADO.NET, which however is covered in all exams. 8) Also give sp emphaisis on Security , localisation topics. 9) Refer to newsgroups MICROSOFT.PUBLIC.CERT.EXAM.MCAD - keep in touch with them. 10) dont use braindumps...you will gain nothing... 11) Give one month for each exam - if u want a good score. MICROSOFT IS GIVING DISCOUNT ON EXAMS - the current cost turns out Rs 1800/- per exam , before it was Rs 2500/-...this is till May Well hope this helps, Ask freely if u have doubts, Pravin. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDotNet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
