leading provider of information and technology solutions to the global
financial community.
Thomson Financial has openings for Senior
Developers in its Corporate Group. This position will be based out of
Bangalore (India) and will be reporting to the Application Architect
(India).
The Senior Developer will take directions from the
Application Architect and mentor Developers for implementing structured
development processes and best practices for the group. He/she will work
closely with the US based development groups and assist the Application
Architect in implementing application frameworks that support the
organization's technology strategy. <o:p></o:p>
<o:p></o:p>
Qualifications<o:p></o:p>
Job Requirements:
1.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
Advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 4+ years of actual
programming and application development experience with strong
applications design experience.
3. Work experience in an
offshore/onsite development environment with a consulting firm strongly
preferred.
4. Experience with OO Analysis and Design, RUP and Rational
Rose Enterprise or XDE required.
5. Ability to take Use Case Model and
Analysis Model and develop Design Models.
6. Familiarity with major
architectural domains in IT (applications, data, and infrastructure) with
in-depth understanding and experience in the applications area.
7.
Experience in developing n-tier applications with a variety of software
and DBMS including:
a. 2-4 years of experience in
designing and developing applications including Web services using
Microsoft technologies (.NET, ASP, COM) or
equivalent.
b. Experience in SOAP, HTML, XML,
Javascript, and IIS, SQL, etc. required.
c.
Experience with Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET and WinForms is
desired.
d. Various O/S environments (UNIX,
Microsoft) including shell scripting
e. RDBMS
experience (Sybase, Oracle). Experience with ADO.NET accessing
Sybase/Oracle desired.
f. 2+ years of writing SQL
queries, database triggers and stored
procedures.
