largest and most complex business applications to date. The primary objective of this 
course is to provide a high-level familiarity with all of the concepts, tools,

To accelerate learning during class, demonstrations and lab exercises consist of 
finished applications that can be quickly deployed, analyzed, and modified. To

Provides a visual overview of BTS 2004.  
2. BizTalk Server 2004 Architecture
Provides an overview of BTS 2004 concepts, architecture and tools. 
3. BizTalk Schemas and Maps
BizTalk Schemas and Maps are presented in detail, with many hands-on labs for creating 
and managing schemas and maps for XML, Flatfiles, and EDI. 
4. BizTalk Server 2004 Features
Hands-on labs for BTS 2004 security and network configurations are impractical to 
cover in this class, but understanding these topics is extremely important for all 
audiences. Business Activity Services provides a meaningful context for security 
regarding Trading Partner integration, and the Microsoft Business Rules Framework 
effectively demonstrates the flexibility and efficiency of implementing business 
policies for individual or entire groups of trading partner interchanges. 
5. Building BizTalk Messaging Pipelines and Adapters 
This session is lab-intensive, covering the primary components for implementing 
BizTalk Messaging: Developing BizTalk Adapters and BizTalk Pipeline Components. 
6. Introduction to BTS 2004 Orchestration Integration
This session is lab-intensive, covering a broad array of topics intended as an 
introduction to Orchestration Designer tools and features, Web Services integration, 
message correlation, and the design theory behind the XLANG/s and BPEL4WS language 
specifications.
