Hi Ppl,
Pls
give me an advice on this..
I
am having a situation where in I need to parse some text information. I
can form the string is delimited (using pipe or carrot) or make it as an
XML string.
on
an hypothetical situation 10,000 such strings to be parsed per second (
this is just give an idea how saving micro seconds can make my app faster
)
so
which can be faster
- String parsing (using regular expressions)
- xml xpath queries
My
only consideration is speed of parsing not the flexibility or other aspects
.. ( though it will become an issue later on )
