----------------------------------------------------------- From: Raghu_78 Message 1 in Discussion Hi, I am trying to connect to a web-service from a stanalone client written in VB.NET.I generated a proxy class by adding a web reference to my VB.NET project. When I run this application from VS.NET in debugging mode, a System.net.WebException is thrown with the message The request failed with HTTP status 502: Proxy Error ( The specified network name is no longer available. ). If i run the same application in a non-debugging mode(Ctrl-F5 in VS.NET), I am able to successfully connect to the web-service. No exception is thrown in this case.
