----------------------------------------------------------- From: NehalDOTNET Message 3 in Discussion properties are used to set value of a field in a class. normally i declare property so that i can give access to private fields of my class. this adds a security that u don't directly access field. second i can use property to do validations. normally when you write Object.x = 10 and you want to make sure that user does not enter value above 5. you can;t do that check if x is a field , but if its is property you can .
