Hi, I have desktop application created in vb.NET using windows forms. I created a
setup project for this application to deploy at the client place. My Problem is::
The client must have .NET Framework installed in his system for running the project.
But I want to provide the .NET Framework along with the application in case he did'nt
have the framework.. So here I have to use the merge module to include the
"dotnetfxredist.msm" redistributable package for .NET framework. While creating merge
module project, I noticed that in File->Add->New Project dialogue box , under "Setup
and Deployement Projects" there are two type of set up projects. 1) Setup Project 2)
Merge Module Project If I choose first one, then in the solution explorer,on right
clicking this setup project , I found Add ->Merge Module I am not sure weather to
choose second one or the first. I have refered for this in MSDN. But still I want to
confirm before I ahead. Anybody worked on .NET project Installation please let me
know few more details. Regards Kushi
