  Hi All, I have attended the Microsoft�s DevDays 2004 Seminar held on May 5th 2004 at 
Bangalore. It was a wonderful experience there. I have lot of good news to share with 
you as a developer prospective. 
I would like to mention one that as a Microsoft technologies developer I do not feel 
as orphan as non-Microsoft developers feel. Microsoft really take care of its 
developer community. During the seminar many times i was to shout .."Yes! I wanted 
this!"  
I would like to submit few topics on seminar.And alsoI would like tell thank to 
Shri,Vijay,Prakash and Riz for their contribution.

Lot of enhancements, additions
New security features
Partial file concept has been introduced.
Background worker(RAD Async): keeps UI alive while background work is going on.
Docking of windows is easy.
Alignment of controls is easy(guidence is provided).
All controls are provided with smart tags
Error handlers display messageboxes in a much detail form, giving links for the user 
to get help. 
VB.NET   
Editing source code in debug mode is back in VB.NET Windows Forms:
Lot of new controls has been introduced. 
Grid View control is an improved data grid control
You can right click a control on from and edit its primary properties right there 
without opening properties window.
Grid can be easily populated with images
IE clone can be easily added 
ADO.NET
We can use more than one datareaders using a single connection.
  ASP.NET
Web Forms:
Lot of enhancements and addition again in asp.net
We have more web controls here. These web controls will work both on web form and 
mobile form.
We can use �master file� to create templates for web page and use it in all in our web 
pages.
We can use �themes� to control the visual appearance of web pages.
We can use �personalization� to serve user the contents as per there preference.
We not need to face IIS to run our asp.net application.
We have treeview control ADO.NET 2.0 Yukon
MOre support for XML
We can save data as XML and can validate its schema
we can write procedures in .NET languages and use it in Yukon
We have now powerful reporting tool available in yukon
Use can have user defined types for emails etc
Varchar(Max) and XML datatypes 
recursive functions 
XQuery
