Dear Rahul 1. How do I connect to sql server? I mean I am able to connect but how
do I connect universally. For example, in access we can have
"Application.StartupPath+\\Data.MDB" and access the data in Access. How do I connect
to any installed SQL Server where my tables are stored? A) U connect to your MSDE as
u would with SQL Server, Only in MSDE SP3, u can specify a named Intance of your
Database Server. Connect using as server=(your MSDE
ServerName)\InstanceName;uid=sa;pwd=sa;Initial Catlog=Master) Your SQL Server Tables
will be stored in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$InstanceName\Data\ 2)
How do I make backup and restore files of database from programming? A) U can
install The Client Files of SQL Server 2000 And use Enterprise MAnager for doing the
above tasks 3) How do I make backup of my table structure so that they are created
every time it is installed on new m/c by programming? A) In Enterprise Manager --> U
will be asked the destination of your Backup Database. U choose the file method.
By Default all your Databases r backed up in the BACKUP Folder of SQL Server. 4. Is
it a good decision to migrate? A) Its is a wise decision as SQL Server Data Load
cannot be compared to the likes of Access, as Access is mainly a Desktop Database !
I hope this Answers your Question Rahul. Best Regards Anil Mahadev Computer
