Babu, there are two methods 1 method: a. declare a string variable. b. you can Open a
recordset with the following query which will give you all char and varchar fields
 Select a.Name from syscolumns a, sysobjects b where a.id = b.id and b.name like
'TableName' and a.xusertype in (175,167) order by ColID c. You can loop
through the recordset and build query at run time, for ex: strQuery = "Select *
from <TableName> Where " & rsQuery(0) & " = '" & TextBoxvalue & "'" You can flush
the data in to a temp table and display it wherever required. 2nd Method: You know
the table and you know columns for which you have to make search. store that in a
array and build the query string and run it. hope the above things are clear to you.
any doubt contact me. Bye Vijay
