----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: veerabhadra Message 1 in Discussion Hi I want to find solutions to my requirements, the same is as follows: Description : Description: Server watch will be designed to monitor remote servers for the following actions: 1. Real time CPU usage on 1 or 2 processor boards. 2. Real time Memory Usage. 3. Real time process's running. 4. Directory protection. The system should monitor the file structure in Windows for any changes in real time. 5. Real time port monitoring. 6. Network scan. This system should also be able to scan an entire network running Windows XP Pro and Winterms. It should then give a complete report on system names, OS type and version, memory on that system, CPU, service packs installed if any and all other information. This will help in assets tracking from the software. Real time bandwidth monitoring. This system will keep track of bandwidth on the server. It should also be displayed in a real time graph. There should also be an alert system. If the system sees a sudden rise in bandwidth consumption, it should alert administrators. Servers will also be monitored for shutdowns, restarts, non-communication, and so on. An alert window should show when one of these actions take place to alert administration that something is going on with the server. Please keep in mind these are remote servers. This software will not run on the server its monitoring. This will be done by IP and may require a small client on each server. There should also be an option to have a phone call placed via modem to a pager or cell phone which then sends the alert that one of the servers is down. IMPORTANT NOTES: This system must have a setup screen for first time users. This way IP addresses can be entered. Application must be very user friendly and must be able to be used on any Windows Server running 2000 on up. Experienced coder ONLY PLEASE. All code should be done in VB6, VB.net, VC++ or C++. Can some one suggest a road map?
