Hi,   One solutions what i can think of is, before you are doing response.redirect. 
You can store the pageindex in session variable and then redirect. When you are coming 
back to the same page you can check whether previous page is your details page ( by 
using request.urlreferer)  in that case get your page index from session and then bind 
your datagrid. I hope this should solve your problem. If you need more details, then
