Comrades,

We have built an application in VB .NET. It is a desktop application. Now we want to
know the performance of this system

I have done some R&D on these according to me
Laod/Stress Testing of desktop application is impossible; I mean it has no reasons.
For, desktop application, we can test only Application to Database layer performance
testing, if and only if, many desktops are sharing a single database.

I have following question:

1): What is the concept for desktop application load testing? Is it possible?

2): Are tools available for desktop application load/performance
testing?
3): Is it possible load testing for desktop applications?

If above three is yes then

Please recommend the tools and suggestions for desktop applications
load/stress/performance testing
Else

Give the valid reasons why desktop load/stress/performance testing is not possible.
How can I assure a Desktop application performance?

Thanks,
