----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: mail2dolly Message 2 in Discussion Hi Ambarish, The class that you plan to expose as a cmdlet has to inherit the cmdlet class. cmdlet class has three functions [there is no implementation] that can be overrid by the inheriting class: StartProcessing(), ProcessRecord(), EndProcessing(). msh calls your StartProcessing() first if one exists on your cmdlet invocation. Then for each input record, it calls ProcessRecord() if one exists. Finally it calls EndProcessing() if the function is overrid. If none of these functoins are overrid, well, your cmdlet does nothing. These three functions are what msh looks for [in the order explained] You may find some information about this here Mail back if its not clear.
