Okay,
 since you are using server side controls and if you are using server side events also 
(for example, btn1_click),
 then as soon as you click the button the from will submit even you have called a 
javascript function
 on click of the button. Otherwise just call a method on click of the button 
 
 <....... onclick="javascript:HandleClick();"> and define a method(HandleClick, in 
this case)
 to something like this
 
 function HandleClick()
 {
  document.forms[0].textBox1.value = document.forms[0].textBox2.value;
 }
