Hi Manju,



Why dont you format the time in back-end (assuming that you are using SQL Server 
2000). you can format date in the format of "MM/DD/YYYY". Just you need to do like 
this before inserting into table:



convert(char(23),yourDatevalue,101)



char(23) is the size of the date value, 

yourDatevalue is the date which you are sending from Front end (.Net).

101 is the standard in SQL Server for MM/DD/YYYY format.



Meanwhile I will send the solution doing from .Net too....
