Hi Arijit, what type of column is that (cells[0], is it a label or what?) if
it's not a label then try to convert the column into DataBoundLiteralcontrol for
eg., DataboundLiteralcontrol objvalue=(DataboundLiteralcontrol)
e.item.cells[0].control[0]. val=objvalue.text; if it's a label control then you can
access the value like Label objValue=(Label) e.item.FindControl("labelName");
value=objvalue.Text; Rgds, Ravi
