----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: smartshalabh Message 2 in Discussion Side-by-side execution is the ability to run multiple versions of the same assembly simultaneously. For example, consider a class MyClassX that supports side-by-side execution. An incompatibility is introduced between versions 1 and 2. Callers of MyClassX that express a dependency on version 1 will always get version 1, regardless of how many subsequent versions of MyClassX are installed on the computer. A caller gets version 2 only if it specifically upgrades its version policy. Also to successfully run side by side in the same process, multiple versions cannot have any strict dependencies on process-wide resources. Side-by-side execution in the same process means that single applications with multiple dependencies can run multiple versions of the same component, and Web servers and other hosts can run applications with possibly conflicting dependencies in the same process. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/BDotNet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
