----------------------------------------------------------- From: vijrag Message 2 in Discussion Hi Anjali, Abstraction is a relative term - it is exposing the details what is relevant to the user. The details to be revealed depends upon the type of user. For example let us take an Operating System, a person who is writing device drivers, his level of abstraction to the system will be to know how the OS manages devices, what are the system calls, system interupts etc, but for a application developer, he needs to know only what are the high level api's available for him to acheive a task, he need not worry about the internals, that is his level of abstraction. Encapsulation is the way by which we achieve this abstraction. Information Hiding - It can also be called as Information InAccessibility. By encapsulating the Object internals Private (Attributes) from the external world and have a restricted access to them using the Public Interfaces (Methods) Programming Languages support the Information Hiding. vijrag. http://vijrag.blogspot.com ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
