Santosh,   Wrt to using strings then the answer would be to use NVarchar or NText 
datatypes. And for using dates, you must be well covered.   I would also suggest that 
ALL the coding that you do uses ONLY Unicode data. Which means you create Temp tables, 
## tables, local variables etc will need to use Unicode datatypes only.   Do keep 
these points in mind during design phase. The other factor being using unicode data 
means you operate on twice the size of data :).   HTH, Vinod Kumar
