Hi 

     Is it possible to start a windows
sevice in a remote machine through a web appliction. i tried the following
code 

 

ServiceController sc = new
ServiceController("Alerter","<Machine Name>");

sc.Start();

and i always get the error cannot start service in <machine
name> and the inner exception is "Access Denied"

plz help
