In practice that problem must be considered as a 3 questions: 1. Is it possible to develop .NET Compact Framwork application directly, only with csc.exe compiler, without tools like VS.NET ?. 2. What is the way to deploy such an app into smart device, i.e. create cab etc. and is there any available tool for that besides VS.NET ? As far as know, in ver1.0 there was a System.Web.Util namespace, but in ver.1.1 it has been deprecated... 3. How could I obtain an reliable documentation about classes of .NET Framework which are supported within .NET Framework Compact. Unfortunately, different sources don't look consistently...
