Similarly Oracle Data Provider with give u best possible acces for Oracle . Essentially how Oledb client is implemented is - it's a managed code implementation which acts a wrapper over Oledb com client , so it interoperates with unmanaged code , which : 1. Can have it's own set of Overheads . 2. May not expose every possible functionality available with database .
