Hi ,   That totally depends which database u r trying to access , infact in any case 
oledb is not the best but the generic way to connect to databases which doesn't have 
an explicit provider for e.g :   Sql Data Provider is best for Sql Server , optmised 
for accessing it .   Similarly Oracle Data Provider with give u best possible acces 
for Oracle .   Essentially how Oledb client is implemented is - it's a managed code 
implementation which acts a wrapper over Oledb com client , so it interoperates with 
unmanaged code  , which :   1. Can have it's own set of Overheads . 2. May not expose 
every possible functionality available with database .   Hope it helps ,   regards ,
