----------------------------------------------------------- New Message on BDOTNET
----------------------------------------------------------- From: Nasha Message 2 in Discussion Well if the conditional attribute string is defined than its call is included in the MSIL by the compiler. If the conditional attribute string used is either "DEBUG " or "TRACE" (DEBUG and TRACE are defined are included by default by the complier) then it depends on the mode in which the project is complied i.e. if the project is complied in the debug mode than both DEBUG and TRACE method calls are included . If the project is complied in the Release mode than only the Trace calls are included. Well if you have to create a Native image of this MSIL code then there would no impact on the conditioanl methods as Ngen simply reads the MSIL develops the native image of the same. Hence if it present in the MSIL then it will be present in the Native Image also else not. ----------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this e-mail, or change how often it arrives, go to your E-mail Settings. http://groups.msn.com/bdotnet/_emailsettings.msnw Need help?
