----------------------------------------------------------- From: surajmsn Message 4 in Discussion Yes you have heard it right.. Microsoft is already come up with a bunch of ERP's all under one umbrella called Microsoft Business Solutions. These are a set of around 6 business Solutions namely Solomon, Great Plains, Navisson, Axapta, MS CRM, MS B-central You can find more details about these in By Product Name in the following link. http://www.microsoft.com/BusinessSolutions/default.aspx And each of them are selling well. Actualy on survey done by Aberdeen group, MS Business Solutions are the largest selling business solutions in the Small and Mid Size segment in the year 2003 in North America and europe. Each of these were solutions which were doing well in there segments ( Small and mid sized segment or SMB). Microsoft brought over each of them and currently is selling them as MS Business Solutions. MS CRM is the only solutions completely developed by MS. Using the .net framework. There is a new longterm project under which MS wants all of these applications to have a single code base ( .net ) and single business framework ( MS Business Framework. for each of the industry verticles).. this project is code named project Green. MS is very clear about not targetting the business of large ERP vendors like SAP , Oracle and People soft, they are only targetting the small businesses. In india the MS Business Solutions Navission has been released and is sold quite well also the MS CRM has been released.. Hope this answers your questions and clears your doubts... should you need more details do get in touch...
