You have enable double buffering on the Form using the following commands   SetStyle( 
ControlStyles.UserPaint, true );
SetStyle( ControlStyles.AllPaintingInWmPaint, true );
SetStyle( ControlStyles.DoubleBuffer, true );   Normally Graphics class updates the 
entire screen every drawing operation. By using the first statement we are asking the 
runtime to perform these paint operations in the in-memory copy of the Graphics object 
and then copy this graphics to the screen in one step.   Next two statements are 
required to eliminate flickering that is seen when the Graphics contents are 
automatially cleared during repainting of a control.
