Hi ,   Most of the times you can directly refer it , provided that assembly 
follows CLI ( Common Language Infrastructure ) , esssentially what happens , 
each language has it's own set of uniqueness , which may not be replicated in 
other language .   Check up the .net languages interoperanility guide somewhere 
on msdn , you will more clear , for e.g :   function name Method1 andf method1 
are different in vb.net but that's not the case for C# , fo a C# program 
consuming such vb.net assembly will give an error as it won't be able to 
resolve which method to call if both exists .   regards ,   Mrinal
