Hi All, I have created a windows services and I am writing the log entries
into a new log in an eventlog viewer
System.Diagnostics.EventLog eventLog1 = new EventLog();
if (!System.Diagnostics.EventLog.SourceExists("projectname"))
System.Diagnostics.EventLog.CreateEventSource("projectname","Application",machineName);
eventLog1.Log = "MonitorLog";
eventLog1.Source = "MonitorLogSource";
eventLog1.WriteEntry(errorMessage,EventLogEntryType.Information);
--- Then I have created a setup for this service and installed in my machine.
The new log folder MonitorLog is created in the Event Viewer and entry is made.
But When I install the same in remote machine, the log folder(MonitorLog) is
not created.
WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM.
IT IS VERY URGENT, PLS THROW ME UR INPUTS.
