B.NET BI Day
It is all about Business Intelligence
 
Come Join the party for a complete SQL Server BI (Business Intelligence) day. 
We start this new year with a bang with our first big event on SQL Server 
Topic. This time around we concentrate on BI and to give a blend of present and 
the future of BI. We have got industry experts to explain the same.
 
Session 1
Understanding OLAP in SQL Server
This session would cover a varied array of topics on OLAP like Practical 
Differences OLAP and OLTP, Gathering data v/s using information , Effective 
information utilization concepts and usage , Typical reporting approaches, The 
real benefits of OLAP and more with with a lot of demo to understand the 
concepts.

Speaker: Dr. Nitin Paranjape (MD of Maestros (Mediline))
Dr. Nitin is an excellent orator and teacher. Explaining complex ideas in 
palatable terms � for varied audiences is his area of excellence. Dr. Nitin 
Paranjape has a base qualification in Gynaecology. However, he has established 
his credibility and expertise as a well known IT consultant and developer over 
a period of last 12 years. He is a prolific writer, trainer and orator. He is a 
Certified Information Systems Auditor. He has written over 750 articles in 
popular weekly column called �TechForum� for �Express Computers� magazine.

Session 2
SQL Server 2005 Business Intelligence
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 (code named Yukon) when it releases later this year 
will be a complete business intelligence (BI) platform that provides the 
features, tools, and functionality to build both classic and innovative kinds 
of analytical applications. This session will discuss Microsoft BI vision, SQL 
Server 2005 BI components and the compelling new functionality offered.

Speaker: Dr. Nat Natarajan (Technical Program Manager at Microsoft)
Dr. Nat Natarajan is a Technical Program Manager at Microsoft responsible for 
driving Business Intelligence (BI) ISV ecosystem strategy and enabling 
Microsoft ISV partners in this space.  Nat has a Ph.D degree in Engineering 
from Texas A&M University.
